1.
The name of
the organisation will be Operation Emotion.
2.
With official figures stating that more than one in four
males have suffered some form of sexual abuse before they
reach the age of eighteen, the objectives of Operation
Emotion are to;
a. Alleviate the isolation and traumas of suffering
sexual abuse as a child or adult, including physical
and/or emotional abuse.
b.
Promote recovery from alcohol and drug misuse, promote
recovery from criminal involvement, promote recovery from
failed relationships, all of which are prevalent in male
survivors of abuse.
c.
Promote, educate and research all issues related to child
sexual abuse of males,
d.
Maintain existing links with the Home Office and other
agencies.
e.
Publish informative materials to promote awareness of male
sexual abuse/rape, to include agencies and related health
services.
f.
To build and improve inter-agency relationships, to provide
a cohesive approach to recovery work with male Survivors.
g.
To maintain and develop links with agencies providing
similar services nationwide, and to offer our support to
other agencies, if required.
h.
Raise monies through donations, fundraising events, and
funding applications.
i.
To ensure that all issues listed are achieved, and
maintained.
3. Membership of Operation Emotion is open to all male
survivors of sexual abuse, and all who are actively
interested in promoting the objectives of the organisation.
The Steering Group reserves the rights to terminate
membership of any members or co-opted members, provided a
right of reply is given and heard at the earliest
opportunity. Any such actions will be recorded and given in
written notice of no less than fourteen days maximum.
4. The Steering Group will meet every eight weeks, or
sooner, as required, and will have an appointed chair to
preside over such meetings.
5. Operation Emotion will operate as an independent group,
but under the umbrella of Registered Charity, Twelve’s
Company (no: 1090457)
All monetary sums received will be handed to the treasurer
of Twelve’s Company, who will pay said sums into the named
bank account of Twelve’s Company. All cheques that are
withdrawn will need a minimum of two signatures of
designated members of Twelve’s Company.
6. All monies held in account shall be audited by an
external source, and presented to all Steering Group
meetings if requested.
7.
Operation Emotion can be dissolved by a resolution passed by
two thirds of those present at a Special Meeting convened
for such purposes, of which twenty-one days notice will be
served.
8.In
the event that Operation Emotion ceases to operate, all
assets will not be allowed to profit any members of
Operation Emotion, but refunded to funding bodies or
transferred to other agencies working in similar
circumstances
9. The name and group process will remain the
domain of the original founders, and as such will not be
reformed under the same name without the agreed
permission/or majority vote of founder members.
