Free One-to-One Counselling

Specialist sexual abuse counselling is available, with an experienced & qualified counsellor in a warm and confidential setting.  You can see either a male or female counsellor. Our Counsellors are trained in many different approaches including, cognitive behavioural therapy, person-centred counselling, Post Traumatic Stress Counselling, Integrative Counselling and Neuro Linguistic Programming.

When you begin therapy, you may expect immediate recovery or results.  But unfortunately no counsellor has a magic wand to instantly take away your pain.  Therapy is not like a doctor that can set a broken leg, therapy takes time to heal the mind.

It is important that you talk with your counsellor about what your expectations are, and about what you need from the sessions.

Free Recovery Group

We are currently assessing the needs of our clients.  Though a group has not yet been established, we will launch a group if this is what you and other survivors need and want.  Any new group programme will cover topics and feelings associated with anger, guilt, fear, relationships and loss.

Art Therapy

This is an Alternative therapy for those who have a problem communicating their feelings through speech based therapy.  This is a particularly successful form of counselling for children and family members. A fully qualified Art Therapist facilitates one-to-one & group sessions.  There is Specialist therapy for Children who have disclosed recent abuse.  We also provide Crisis intervention and emotional assessments for young people under 18.

Family Therapy

Recognising that sexual abuse affects all of those involved including friends and family members – we offer one-to-one counselling for parents, partners and children of survivors.

Legal Assistance

We offer a free advice on Criminal Injuries Compensation through Wolferstans Solicitors.

24-hour help-line

We have teamed up with Crossline to offer survivors the opportunity to talk to a qualified listener 24 hours a day.

Drop-In Sessions

Do you want informal drop-in sessions?  We currently run sessions for male survivors.  If you feel you and other survivors would benefit from regular drop-in sessions, please tell your one-to-one counsellor.

Drug & Alcohol Counselling

If you are suffering from Drug or Alcohol Addiction, we provide a specialist qualified drug & alcohol counsellor to help control addictions and help you focus on the long-term recovery from sexual abuse.

Library Service

Over the past twelve months we have built up a substantial collection of books relating to childhood sexual abuse.  These useful books are offered on a loan basis to any survivor who wishes to help aid their own recovery.  Please discuss your needs with your one-to-one counsellor.
