Operation Emotion (A Support Group for Male
Survivors) was launched in December 2004 as an initial response to the police
investigation and prosecution of William Goad - once branded Britain's Worst
Paedophile.
The male
survivors who bravely testified did not
have any support for the pain they had
suffered for over 30 years. They
felt that though there were services to
help women, men were often the forgotten
victims.
Though
primarily catering for men, Operation
Emotion often received requests for help
from women. After trying to
access other organisations for
professional help on behalf of the women
that contacted us, we realised that
though there was some support for
females, this was by no means adequate.
In March
2006 we launched "Operation Emotional".
This service will specialise in giving
female survivors of rape and childhood
sexual abuse the support they need and
deserve.
We are
initially offering Free professional
One-to-one Counselling, On-line support,
this website plus many other
services.
We plan
to continue to expand and evolve this
service to meet demand. |
